You just never know…

The weather forecast kept changing for Memorial Day. At first, it looked like a washout, so I was going to cancel class. But then it changed, and rain was predicted only for Monday night.

On Sunday, the forecast changed AGAIN and rain was predicted for Monday morning. I decided to take a chance and hold class because the rain chance looked spotty at best.

On my way to the park, it started pouring down rain. Ugh! A friend texted to remind me that the pavilion at Chimborazo Park had reopened… So I quick sent a message to participants that we would hold class there.

But then there were a few rumbles of thunder. Double Ugh!! I was frustrated, and wanted to throw in the towel.

But at this point, a few people had already come…and then a few more arrived. We listened to the rain and birds, felt the breeze, and joyfully practiced (dry!) under the pavilion. The temperature was perfect, and the class truly felt magical.

I doubted and agonized all week about whether to have class or not - right up until the minute class started. But once class started, the magic took over (as it always does!) and we all received exactly what we needed.

One person said, “That may have been the best class ever!”

The “problem solving” part of my mind is super strong, so “going with the flow” doesn’t come naturally to me. But I’m learning.

And I trust that the yoga practice always meets us where we are, and magically delivers just what we most need.

(PS-those that didn’t come due to the bad weather got full refunds, in case you were curious!)

Let’s learn together
