The Yoga of Awareness

Kundalini Yoga is nicknamed, “The Yoga of Awareness” - but what does that mean?
Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra 3.26 can be translated as, “Awareness on the inner light reveals the subtle, hidden and distant.”
When we do practices that expand our awareness, we can more easily have access to our own inner light, and the inner light of all others. (Yes, EVERYONE - not just the people we like or agree with)
And this reveals the “subtly” of life…so we don’t get lost in the surface mayhem. We remain rooted in our center, better able to navigate challenging circumstances and people…by tuning into the inner light that might seem “hidden or distant.”
Try it right now…can you touch into your own inner light? The inner light of people you love? How about the rascals in your life?
For me, it’s an ongoing practice. One I’m grateful for.
Let’s practice together.
