I have a really strong negative/protective mind. Its positive intent is to protect me by considering all the potential pitfalls of a situation. It has an evolutionary benefit of looking for danger.

Trouble is, I’m not trying to escape many tiger attacks in my day-to-day life. My “dangers” look more like, “What if this project fails?” Or, “What if I don’t have what it takes to take this next step?” So my strong negative mind often stops me in my tracks.

In the “10 Body” system, you have 3 “mind bodies”. The negative/protective mind, the positive/expansive mind, and the neutral mind. This week in class we are exploring how to have a balanced “2nd body” (negative/protective mind). This way, we can hear all the reasons our mind tells us, “NO!” - without it overpowering us to hold us back and keep us small.
