Is Your Thinking On Overload!
Holly Henty | FEB 2
Is your thinking on overload? It's hard to work with our minds when they are bombarded with input and our nervous systems are exhausted. I notice my mind constantly in problem-solving mode in an attempt to lessen suffering within myself and the world.
But what if there was a different way?
The sound currents of mantra are a time-tested way to work with the mind. Afterall, "mantra" can be translated as "wave of the mind."
So what if we could work with our minds in a way that is supportive and healing? A way that bypasses the habituation of the mind, and opens it up to new possibilities and ways of being in relationship with ourself and others?
Together, we're going to do just that. And I can't wait!!!
In February and March, each week we'll work with one of the 7 mantras from the Aquarian Sadhana in the Kundalini Yoga tradition. And on week 8, we'll spend the entire class chanting them all!
February 4...Long Ek Ong Kar - awakens the chakras and kundalini energy
February 11...Wah Yantee - a mantra from Patanjali that strengthens intuition
February 18...Mul Mantra - a "fate killer" that forms the basis of the consciousness of your soul
February 25...Sat Siri, Siri Akal - declares our timeless and deathless nature
March 4...Rakhe Rakhan Har - a mantra of victory that clears obstacles on your path
March 11...Wahe Guru Wahe Jio - mantra of ecstasy and clarity of purpose
March 18...Guru Ram Das - mantra of healing and opens the heart
March 25...Chanting all 7 mantras!
Join in for as many weeks as you can, or for all 8 weeks! Classes are on Wednesdays from 9:15 - 10:15 am at The Innerwork Center in Richmond and are offered on a sliding scale
