FLOP!
If we cope with our fear of danger or emotional pain with the “flop” nervous system response…we faint, collapse, shut down, or disassociate.
Working with the 5 F-nervous system responses of Fight, Flight, Freeze, Fawn and Flop has been a game changer for me and for so many class participants.
Compassion grows for ourselves and others when we shed the light of awareness on these natural and instinctual responses.
And using movement, breath and sound to help re-set our nervous systems so we don’t habitually default to an over use of these responses helps us meet life moment-to-moment.
Which of the 5-F responses do you use the most? (Flight and Fawn for me!)
