Ahmisa (non-harming)

Snowball fight! This is NOT practicing ahimsa (non-violence, non-harming). Hahaha!
In order to be non-harming outwardly, we have to first get to know (and make friends with!) the inward harming tendencies we have.
Can we befriend our “inner critic” by seeing what that part of us needs, and what its good intentions are? Once we understand what the inner critic is hoping for, we can ask it to help us meet that need in a less harmful way.
For example, if our inner critic says, “What a stupid thing to say!“ can we appreciate that what we’re seeking is clear communication, and connection with others? Then we can enlist that “inner critic” part of us to help us make amends for what we said, and have an even deeper connection through repair in the relationship. After all, our inner critic just wants to be helpful… we just have to show it how!
This week in Kundalini Yoga & Meditation class we’ll be working with ahimsa and productively channeling our red-hot Mars energy.
Wednesday 9:15 am at The Innerwork Center
All are welcome to this sliding scale offering
